Video-Conferencing Done Right

Successful video-conferences do not happen by accident.

Proper planning is both essential and professional.

Here are a few easy ways to improve the quality and productivity of your meetings.

  • Stay focused.  Do not multi-task.  It's obvious, and indicates you are not engaged.
  • Own your environment.  Manage your background noise, and what others see behind you.
  • Maintain eye contact.  Look at the display and camera.
  • Join early, and be certain you hang up when done.  Late arrival implies disinterest, and post-conference comments heard by all can be awkward for everyone.
