A New Cutting-Edge AV Hub for Community, Creativity, and Sustainability

When we heard Cincinnati Public Radio (CPR) was building their new state-of-the-art headquarters down the street from our office, we knew we had to help and be the first to welcome them to the neighborhood.  This was an ambitious project, and we were excited to partner with them for all the audio-visual components. The grand opening was in April, and we wanted to share CPR’s new home with you.

Founded in 1960, Cincinnati Public Radio had a vision to “engage your mind, enrich your life, and lift your spirit.” They do this through various stations, podcasts, and programs that are meant to connect the community to new sounds, thoughts, and people.

In 2023, CPR launched the Building Connections campaign to construct a state-of-the-art, permanent home. Groundbreaking began in August 2023, on this first of its kind mass-timber, sustainably designed building, and was completed in April 2025. The space is designed for openness and community engagement, and includes public podcast booths, larger performance and recording studios, multiple sound booths, a public atrium and terrace, and an outdoor plaza adjacent to a recreation area—dramatically expanding the station’s ability to host live events, educational programs, and civic gatherings.

ITA worked in conjunction with CPR’s team and the construction crews to install multiple cutting-edge broadcasting and audio-visual systems that match the station’s longstanding reputation for excellence. With PTZ cameras, massive lighting grids and fixtures, 70 displays, 10 control keypads and 5 scheduling touch panels, this was an impressive and ambitious project to tackle. Jamie Dickey, one of ITA’s Account Sales Managers, said, “CPR is our new neighbor. With our motto being to help anyone, anywhere, having them in our own backyard, made it even more special to help.”

We were proud to have played a part in this crown jewel of a project. If your organization is planning a new construction project or renovation, call us and let us get in on the ground floor of planning and building something great together.
